It's been a while! Hope you are all well and staying cool during these warm (hot) summer days.
I always love the cool combo of blue and white for summer, so it's no coincidence that I'll be teaching a cyanotype (sunprint) workshop in Folsom on Saturday, August 10! Here's how it will go: after I do a quick intro (background, examples, and demo), we'll all apply a light-sensitive solution to watercolor paper, layer on plant and/or other materials, expose them to the sun, bring them in to rinse, and watch the magic happen! Everyone will take home up to four 8x10" frameable sunprints along with all of the info needed to make more independently, as well as techniques to create different effects. All materials are supplied, but you're encouraged to bring some of your own things to print (ferns, feathers, lace, leaves, etc.). You can find all of the details and register through this link to Folsom Parks and Rec Summer guide - just scroll down below the "Activity Search Criteria" section to see the class description. I would love to see you there - it should be a very fun four hours!
