Feeling Thankful

It's been a while! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent ours in Chico this year with our daughter and her family (our son and his family are traveling in Japan!). They had just spent a week with us to get away from the terrible smoke from the fire in Paradise, which is only 20 minutes from their home. The fire reached the outskirts of Chico (we were with them the first and second days), and burned up to and at times across the highway that we drive for our weekly babysitting day. It was wrenching to see the widespread devastation on our way up, and emphasized even more the tragedy of this inferno. We feel especially fortunate that our kids and extended families are all alive and well, that they have comfortable homes and livelihoods, and that we were all able to share a wonderful meal together. We said a prayer for all those who lost their lives, and for those in shelters who may have lost their homes, neighbors, and even their workplaces in one fateful day. Our grandkids are oblivious to all of this, and they and three excited dogs kept us all focused on the here and now.

Noah just turned three, and his sweet little sister, Gracie, joined the family on September 23rd!

I'll be selling prints, cards and many originals of my work at a couple of upcoming fairs if you're interested in seeing them in person, and many are available as well via my website's gallery (originals), and my Etsy, Redbubble and Society6 shops for prints and merchandise (big sales in all shops through Monday, November 26). If you see something you're interested in, would like me to add anything to one of my shops, or ask for a custom order, you can message me via this blog or my website, or text/call me at 916.220.4612.

This weekend, November 24 and 25, I'll be at Blue Line Arts in Roseville:

And on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9, I'll once again be at the Murer House for a small gift boutique:

20% of all proceeds from my fair and website sales will be donated to the American Red Cross' California Wildfires Fund.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season!
